Privacy Policy
Introduction
SteriVault ("the App") is developed by Roman Designs ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS application.
Information We Collect
Data You Enter
SteriVault allows you to log sterilization cycles, maintenance records, biological test results, machine details, and staff names. All data you enter into the App is stored locally on your device and, if enabled, synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit service.
iCloud Data
When iCloud sync is enabled, your data is stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. This data is accessible only to you through your Apple ID. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
Subscription Information
If you subscribe to SteriVault, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID credentials.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal identification information
- We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or mailing addresses
- We do not collect location data
- We do not collect usage analytics or tracking data
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising frameworks
- We do not collect device identifiers for tracking purposes
How Your Data Is Stored
Local Storage
All sterilization logs, maintenance records, biological test results, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
iCloud Storage
When iCloud sync is enabled, your data is synced to your personal iCloud account. This data is:
- Stored in your private iCloud database
- Protected by your Apple ID credentials
- Encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
- Stored using your personal iCloud storage allocation
- Not accessible by us or any third party
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your data with any third parties. Your sterilization records, staff information, and all other data remain entirely under your control.
PDF Reports
SteriVault allows you to generate PDF reports of your sterilization logs. These reports are generated locally on your device. When you share a report, it is sent using your device's native sharing functionality. We have no access to or record of reports you generate or share.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains on your device and in your iCloud account for as long as you choose to keep it. You can delete individual records within the App at any time. To completely remove all data:
- Delete individual records within the App
- Delete the App from your device to remove local data
- Manage your iCloud storage through your device's Settings to remove cloud data
Children's Privacy
SteriVault is designed for professional use in dental offices and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We take the security of your data seriously. SteriVault relies on Apple's built-in security infrastructure, including:
- iOS device encryption
- iCloud encryption in transit and at rest
- App Store sandboxing
- Secure Enclave protection on supported devices
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data stored by the App (visible directly within the App)
- Delete any or all of your data at any time
- Export your data via PDF reports
- Disable iCloud sync at any time through your device's Settings
