Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using SteriVault ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Description of Service
SteriVault is a digital sterilization logbook application designed for dental offices to track sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and biological test results. The App provides tools for recording, organizing, and generating reports of sterilization activities.
Subscription and Payment
Free Trial
SteriVault offers a 7-day free trial period. The trial begins when you first activate it within the App. During the trial period, you have full access to all features at no cost.
Monthly Subscription
After the trial period, continued access to SteriVault requires a paid monthly subscription at the current listed price. Subscriptions are billed monthly through your Apple ID account.
Billing
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Your subscription automatically renews each month unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the current subscription rate
- You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following notice of the change. Your continued use of the App after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use SteriVault only for its intended purpose of recording and managing sterilization-related activities. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or infrastructure
- Distribute, license, or sell the App or any part thereof
Data and Content
Your Data
You retain full ownership of all data you enter into SteriVault. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information you record in the App.
Data Storage
Your data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to your personal iCloud account. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about data handling.
Data Backup
While SteriVault offers iCloud sync as a backup mechanism, we recommend maintaining additional records of critical sterilization data as appropriate for your practice. We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, iCloud issues, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Disclaimer of Warranties
SteriVault is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the App
Limitation of Liability
Not a Compliance Tool
SteriVault is a record-keeping tool designed to assist with sterilization documentation. It is NOT a substitute for professional judgment, regulatory compliance systems, or official sterilization validation processes. Users are responsible for ensuring their sterilization practices meet all applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines established by relevant health authorities.
Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Roman Designs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App, regardless of the theory of liability.
Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Intellectual Property
SteriVault, including its design, features, code, and content, is the intellectual property of Roman Designs and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. The SteriVault name and logo are trademarks of Roman Designs.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
You may terminate your use of the App at any time by:
- Canceling your subscription through your device's Settings
- Deleting the App from your device
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when the updated Terms are posted. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Apple's Standard Terms
As SteriVault is distributed through the Apple App Store, your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), available at: apple.com/legal
In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's EULA, these Terms shall take precedence to the extent permitted.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
